Al inicio de cada rollo de 35mm existe un área de actividad fotográfica que se da en el momento en el que se carga la cámara con película. Esta zona de actividad precede y se encuentra fuera de toda narrativa fotográfica.

Las fotografías son contenedores temporales al mismo tiempo que marcadores históricos, en esta serie intenté, como Vilém Flusser propone, retar el aparato de la cámara, su programa historizante, el cual nos invita a crear imágenes figurativas e informativas, para crear esta serie compuesta de imágenes abstractas, fuera de las narrativas fotográficas habituales, sin mediación del obturador o el lente, y de cierta forma, del fotógrafo. Imágenes más crudas y salvajes, que no pueden ser integradas a una interpretación histórica de las mismas.

At the beginning of a 35mm roll of film, there is an area of photographic activity created when loading film into the camera. This zone of activity precedes and is beyond the traditional descriptive and narrative photographic territories.

Photography is often associated with accurate temporal and visual representations. In this series, I tried to challenge the camera’s apparatus, to create a series of abstract imagery, that relies on the photo-sensitive material itself, without the mediation of the camera, the lens, and more critical; the photographer.
